License terms
Last updated 25 August 2026
Thype is proprietary software. It is free to use, but it is not open source - the app and everything inside it stay the property of their author. Installing or using Thype means accepting the terms below.
What you may do
You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Thype on devices you own or control, for as long as you keep to these terms. Use it for anything you like, privately or at work; what you type with it is yours, and the license makes no claim on it.
What it costs
Nothing. There is no price, no subscription, no in-app purchase, no advertising, and nothing about you is sold or shared - see the privacy policy. If a paid version of Thype ever exists, it will be its own thing: it will not take anything away from a copy you already have.
What you may not do
- Copy, publish, sell, rent, lend or sublicense Thype, or pass it on as part of anything else.
- Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble it, or try to derive its source, except to the extent this cannot lawfully be prohibited.
- Extract, republish or reuse the dictionaries, language models or other data bundled with the app, whether as a dataset or inside another product.
- Remove or alter any copyright, trademark or other notice in the app.
- Use the Thype name, icon or design for anything that could be taken for Thype itself.
Who owns it
Thype, its source code, its dictionaries and models, its name and its design belong to Nawat Suangburanakul. All rights not expressly granted above are reserved. Nothing here transfers ownership of anything: you are given permission to use the app, not a copy of it to do as you please with.
Third-party material
Thype bundles data and libraries from third parties. Those stay under their own licenses and belong to their own authors, and nothing in these terms overrides them. Email nawathome@gmail.com for the full attribution notices.
The App Store version
The iPhone keyboard is distributed through the App Store, so that copy is also covered by Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Where the two disagree, Apple’s terms govern the App Store copy. Apple is not a party to these terms and has no responsibility for Thype or for supporting it - support comes from us, at the address below.
No warranty
Thype is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. Thai romanization has no single right answer, and no keyboard can promise the reading it picks is the one you meant - check what you have written before you send it. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from using Thype, and nothing here limits rights you have by law that cannot be limited.
Ending the license
You can end it whenever you like by deleting the app. It also ends automatically if you break these terms, in which case you must stop using Thype and delete it. What Thype stored on your device goes with it - there is nothing kept anywhere else.
Changes
If these terms ever change, the updated version will be published at this address and the date above will be revised. Continuing to use Thype after that means accepting the new terms.
